Self Esteem Challenges

Self esteem is pride in oneself, our self respect. If we have a poor image of our self, we lose confidence and pride in our self.

It's associated to our conception of self worth and value based on our self image.

When our image is poor or negative, we lose confidence in our self.

Without confidence, we can become depressed, unhappy and insecure. We criticize our self and fail the challenges that come our way.

When we see someone that has high self esteem, we see various qualities in them.

Some of those qualities are confidence, flexibility, they take risks, accept change and they like who they are.

When we have self esteem, we respect our self. We then respect others, improve our relationships, our accomplishments and our overall self.

Assess the areas of your life that are negative. Write them down, and be honest about each one. When you realize what they are, you can overcome them.

Building Your Confidence

    Set achievable goals. Forget your failures, you've learned from them, now move on. Be proud of your accomplishments. Reward yourself when you succeed. Support yourself and be positive, say "I can" or "I will." Use positive thinking and words. Don't give up, try..try..try again! You can do it! Accept who you are, learn to like you, you are unique and deserving.

When you look around at your family and friends, realize your self worth. We can control the negativity in our life. We can replace that with positive thoughts. We can regain our self esteem and self worth through positive thinking and influences.
