Inner Peace and Harmony For Your Well Being

Inner Peace and harmony is important for your well being.

You can control the outside influences of your emotions and actions. You can maintain harmony in your life.

It is a state of being mentally or spiritually at peace. You have enough knowledge and understanding to keep strong in the face of stress and other outside influences.

There are many ways to accomplish inner peace in your life. Part of my journey was Seva.

"Seva" is a Sanskrit word meaning selfless service. Seva is doing good work, helping others, without attachment, and without any desire for personal gain.

Performing Seva on a regular basis is one way for us to become more aware of our connection with the divine. Just one small act of Seva a day can bring about tremendous spiritual growth and inner peace.

Reactive or Proactive

You become overwhelmed by emotions. You allow your emotions to determine your reactions and attitude, as well as your actions.

The circumstances that surround you are what you react to. Your boss upset you. The kids got the carpet dirty right after you cleaned it. The woman in the grocery was rude.

Do you get angry with them? Do you react to that emotion and that circumstance at that time?

If you learn to become proactive and self-disciplined, and understand that you cannot always control the circumstances around you, you can at least be prepared for them.

The Right Attitude

Deal with life straight up and face truth and reality. Solve the problems that you have. Solving problems promotes growth and teaches you problems shouldn't be avoided.

Practice Good Beliefs

Practice all of the good beliefs you have. Maintaining harmony in your life comes from your beliefs and practicing them.

Your Place In The World

You have a part in the plan of life. Only you can know what that is. Begin to live in peace by giving priority to doing good things. Giving of yourself is one of the most selfless things you can ever do.

Positive Thinking

Think positive thoughts, they are powerful influences in your life. Then perform those positive thoughts. Learn to replace negative thinking with positive thinking.

Making Peace

If you are in discord with someone else, you need to make peace. When you harbor bad thoughts towards someone else, you don't have harmony within yourself.

Self and Motives

Motives should never be self-seeking or for self-glorification. You will realize the inner peace and well being you obtain through helping others.

Positive Thoughts for Well Being

   - Each time you meet someone, say something encouraging.
   - Each time you come into a situation, think of some good thing to bring such as a helping hand.
   - Judge your thoughts, is what you are thinking bringing you inner peace?
   - Be a peacemaker, take harmony into unpeaceful situations.
   - If you love people enough, most will respond lovingly. Even if they don't, you have given love.
   - There is always a way to do the right thing.
   - You are not detached from your fellow humans. Well being and inner peace come with realizing oneness of all.
