When choosing what type of workout clothes to purchase, consider the following:

- Workout clothes should be comfortable, not tight or constricting.

- The material should be good quality and flexible, and give you room to move and breathe freely.

- The material should be breathable, especially if you're involved in high impact workouts that cause you to sweat.

- Choose workout clothes specific to the exercise activities you are participating in.

Material choices are another factor to consider when choosing fitness apparel. The materials to consider when purchasing workout clothes are:

- CoolMax or wicking-material - these aid in the evaporation of sweat and are quick cooling. This material is also efficient to wear under warmer clothing for outside activites.

- Fleece is lightweight and is great insulation without being bulky. It dries quickly and it is water resistant.

- Supplex is soft and comfy, as well as long lasting and it dries quickly. It's also used with other materials to improve flexibility.

- Nylon, acrylic, or polypropylene gives you a good balance of functionality and comfort.

What you wear on your feet is just as important, if not more so, then the clothing you wear. If you jog or run, you have a greater chance of injury. If your footwear doesn't fit you properly, you can suffer from blisters.

Find out your foot type if you don't know it (high arches, flat-footed or pronator - very low or flat arch). Purchase shoes that give you the comfort and support you need.

Wear your sport socks when you try on shoes. Your heel should be snug and not slide. Try on both shoes, laced up, and walk or jog around the store.

Athletic shoes should feel good and ready to wear when you put them on.

Choose shoes that have plenty of cushion for high impact aerobic activities such as tennis or running.

Choose Women's fitness apparel that can provide comfort so that you can enjoy your Fitness exercises. Wearing the proper outfit needed for a particular activity can enable you to move with comfort and ease.
